At Greater Christ Temple, we believe that faith is not just a Sunday experience but something that should be lived out every day. Our commitment to love is rooted in the teachings of Jesus, who commanded us to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Through our various ministries and outreach programs, we actively demonstrate this love in action, serving our community and making a positive impact in the lives of those around us.
We are committed to living out the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to love God, love others, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE CENTERPIECE OF OUR LIVES AND OUR MESSAGE. WE WILL PRIORITIZE AND PROTECT THE MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL AT ALL TIMES AND BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.
EVERY PERSON THAT WALKS THROUGH OUR DOORS IS SOMEBODY THAT CHRIST DIED TO SAVE. PEOPLE MATTER TO GOD SO THEY MATTER TO US AND EVERY ENCOUNTER IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP TURN THEM TO CHRIST.
JESUS TOLD THE PARABLE ABOUT LEAVING THE 99 SHEEP TO GO AND FIND THE ONE THAT WAS LOST. THIS IS OUR EXAMPLE. WE WILL WITNESS TO THOSE WHO ARE LOST AND LOOKING FOR A BETTER WAY BY POINTING THEM TO JESUS CHRIST. THIS FUELS OUR FAITH. THIS IS OUR PURPOSE.
EVERYTHING WE DO MUST HAVE REACH A HIGHER LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE. WHETHER IT IS BIG OR SMALL IT MATTERS IN OUR PRESENTATION OF CHRIST.
JESUS DID NOT COME TO BE SERVED, BUT TO SERVE AND WE SHOULD FOLLOW SUIT. NOBODY IS TOO BIG TO SERVE! WE GET TO LEAD BECAUSE WE CHOOSE TO SERVE.
WE HAVE FREELY RECEIVED, SO WE FREELY GIVE. (NOT JUST WITH MONEY!!) WE HAVE BEEN GIFTED AN ABUNDANT AMOUNT OF GRACE BY GOD, AND NOW WE GET TO BE GENEROUS WITH OUR TIME, ENERGY AND FINANCES. WE VALUE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WALK IN GENEROSITY. WE WON'T BE STINGY WITH GOD. IT IS OUR PRIVILEGE.
HONORING OTHERS HONORS GOD. WE WILL GIVE HONOR WHERE HONOR IS DUE WITH OUR WORDS AND OUR ACTIONS. THIS INCLUDES THOSE WHOM GOD HAS PLACED OVER US, BESIDE US, AND UNDER OUR CARE AND LEADERSHIP. RESPECT IS EARNED BUT, BUT HONOR IS GIVEN. WE GIVE VERTICAL HONOR (TO GOD), BUT ALSO HORIZONTAL HONOR (TO EACH OTHER) THIS IS OUR POSTURE.
PRAYER IS NOT AN OPTION, IT’S A NECESSITY. EVERYTHING WE DO AS A CHURCH MUST BE COVERED IN PRAYER. WE CAN’T SPEAK FOR A GOD THAT WE DON’T SPEAK TO! PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!
THE BARE MINIMUM IS NOT OUR STANDARD. A “C” IS A PASSING GRADE BUT WE ARE NOT A “C” LEVEL TYPE OF CHURCH! WE SHOULD DO EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND. IN THE SAME WAY THAT CHRIST WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR US, WE DO THE SAME FOR HIM AND HIS PEOPLE. IT’S OUR PLEASURE.
WE DO NOT DISCRIMINATE. EVERYONE WHO COMES THROUGH OUR DOORS MAY NOT HAVE THE BEST CLOTHES, THEY MIGHT NOT BE THAT CLEAN, AND THEIR HYGIENE MAY NOT BE IN THE BEST CONDITION BUT WE DON’T TURN ANYONE AWAY THAT IS SEEKING SALVATION BECAUSE OF THEIR APPEARANCE. WE ARE A LOVING AND WELCOMING CHURCH THEREFORE WE ARE A CHURCH WHERE EVERYBODY IS SOMEBODY AND NOBODY IS A STRANGER.
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
We believe in the infallible, verbal inspiration of the whole Bible and that the Bible is the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice (Psalm 119:160; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17)
We believe in the Genesis account of Creation (Gen. 1; 2).
We believe in the virgin birth and sinless humanity of Jesus Christ (Matt. 1:18-20; 2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22). We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ (John 10:30; John 1:1, 14; 2 Cor. 5:19).
We believe in the bodily resurrection and ascension of Christ and the bodily resurrection of His saints
(Matt. 28:1-7; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Cor. 15:42-58; 1 Thess. 4:13-18).
We believe that Satan is a fallen angel, the archenemy of God and man, the unholy god of this world, and that his destiny is the eternal lake of fire. (Isa. 14:12-15; Ezek. 28:11-19; Matt. 25:41; 2 Cor. 4:4; Eph. 6:10-17; Rev. 20:10).
We believe the Bible definition of marriage is the union between a man and a woman
(Gen. 2:21-24; Matt. 19:4-6; Mark 10:6-9; 1 Cor. 7:2-4; Eph. 5:22-31).
We believe God designates each individual their gender. God ordained two genders, male and female. Mankind does not possess the authority to identify themselves differently than their biological sex assigned by God, and any attempt to alter one’s gender is sin (Genesis 1:27; 5:2; Matthew 19:4 and Mark 10:6; Job 40:8; Jeremiah 13:23).
Our Sunday morning worship service usually lasts around 90 minutes. Services begin with Corporate Prayer and Praise and Worship. You don’t need to know any lyrics as we have books provided in every seat.
After the music portion is over, our pastor will share a message from God’s Word.
We’re more concerned about your soul than your appearance. Come as you are and expect to be welcomed as our guest.
